This course aims to develop the students’ grammatical knowledge and ability to apply it in language production. It discusses parts of speech and tenses as well as several verb patterns. The verb patterns are intended to lay a strong foundation of simple syntactic patterns.
This course is aimed at introducing and providing plenty of practice pronouncing the English phonemes and words.
This course aims at providing students with plenty of practice integrating the pronunciation knowledge and skills they have previously learned in Pronunciation Practice I with the various features of connected speech (including stress, rhythm, and intonation). Focusing primarily on General American English with references also to Standard British English, the course utilizes authentic audio/visual materials with which students can practice upon to improve the intelligibility of their pronunciation and to produce a more natural speech.
