This course is designed to improve the students’ academic writing skill through exercises in building sentences into a paragraph and building paragraphs into an essay. The exercises invite the students to play with words and phrases, to experiment with language, to explore new and exciting ways of expressing their ideas. The course also provides the students with the standard of documenting the source materials and the conventions of academic writing.
